Oprah Winfrey once said, "Be thankful for what you have; then you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough." As we find ourselves in the midst of the holiday season approaches, I can’t help but reflect on the many blessings that have been bestowed upon our HFAA family.
Despite the challenges that we face in our school, we have so much in which to be grateful…
I am grateful for our tremendously-talented faculty. Despite facing many challenges in the classroom, they are fully-committed to the current and future success of our students.
I am grateful for our facilities and for the shelter and safety that it provides to our students, faculty and staff. We recently received word of a gift from the Oklahoma Board of County Commissioners Office of $250,000 to complete Phase II of our school construction project! Phase II involves the renovation of the old pool area and locker room into a new dance room and locker area. In addition, we learned that we are receiving a $50,000 from the Kirkpatrick Family Fund to be used in the renovation of our media center! Grants and donations are highly-competitive, so we feel extremely fortunate to receive these grants.
I am grateful to our board of directors and advisors, who volunteer their time to provide backing, support and guidance to our school.
I am thankful for the many parents and guardians who stay invested in their student’s education and future.
Happy holidays to you and your family from everyone here at HFAA!
