Letter from Sally Bentley
President, Harding Fine Arts Academy Board
Spring, 2010

Dear Current and Prospective Students and Parents:

As president of Harding Fine Arts Academy, I want to assure you that Harding Fine Arts Academy will continue as before in the Harding building for the 2010-11 school year and beyond. Both HFAA and HCP have been offered separate leases by the Oklahoma City Public School District for space at Harding. We’re in the process of negotiating the lease with the District and plan to finalize it in the very near future.

Planning is well underway for next school year. We already have many new students enrolled for 2010-11, and we will soon celebrate the graduation of 45 seniors in the Class of 2010. We look forward to welcoming back our current and new students and parents and our excellent teaching staff next August. 2009-10 has been in many ways the best year ever for Harding Fine Arts Academy. We completed a rigorous school assessment by AdvancedEd International and have been recommended for accreditation by meeting their high standards of continuous school improvement. Our students continue to learn, grow and achieve in HFAA’s creative, arts-focused environment.

Sharing a school building, as we do with Harding Charter Preparatory, requires a high degree of cooperation, coordination and consideration on the part of each school’s staff, students and parents. While it is often a challenge, HFAA remains committed to finding ways to work together positively and equitably to create the best school experience for all our students.

If you’re visiting our school for the first time, please check in at our office on the 33rd St. entrance, north side of the building. Our principal, Dr. Sherry Rowan or Dir. of Student Recruitment, Barry Schmelzenbach, will be happy to answer your questions and provide information about the school.

Sincerely,
Sally Bentley, President
Harding Fine Arts Academy Board
