Martial Arts- Beginning

Course Description:
Martial Arts is a physical art class based on multiple styles including Karate, TaeKwonDo and Kyukushin-Kai.

Objectives:

Martial Arts is not just kicking and punching, or even defending yourself, it truly is an art. One of the main

influences that I base my martial arts off of is Gichin Funakoshi, who called Karate, “My Way of Life”. My

goal for you this year is not only to teach you how to throw proper kicks and punches and how to defend

yourself, but also how to incorporate Martial Arts into all aspects of your life. You will learn discipline and

perseverance. I want you to walk away from this class feeling confident in yourself and what you have learned.
