Course Description:

AP French Language and Culture is a college-level course intended for students in their fourth year of French study.  In AP French, students review and refine grammatical structures while learning new vocabulary to communicate in French on a variety of topics.  The three modes of communication (Interpersonal, Interpretive, and Presentational) are foundational to the AP French Language and Culture course. Course work provides students with opportunities to demonstrate their proficiency in each of the three modes.  This course is designed to prepare students for the AP French Language and Culture examination, which students are expected to take. AP French Language and Culture is conducted exclusively in French.

o   The new media, social impact of technology, discoveries and inventions, ethical questions

o   Health issues, environmental issues, nutrition and food safety

  • Beauty and Aesthetics

o   Ideals of beauty, music, performing arts, literature, visual arts
